3 Things You Need To Know About Google+

So the virtual world is rocked yet again by a Google innovation. Google+ is Google's response to the microblogging success of Twitter. There are many that are calling the fight between the two platforms as a done deal but before pronouncing the premature death of Twitter there are 3 things you need to know.

#1) Google + is NEW!!: This may not come to a shock to many of you but a lot of the times when a new offering from Google makes its way to the webscape people just want to try it. They are intrigued by yet another fun Google tool. The early spike in users to 10 million is no surprise as everyone is willing to give it  a shot.

#2) Google tools lose appeal: Android being one of the biggest indicators of how a once craved Google addition  can quickly lose developer and user appeal. Stats show that developers and consumers prefer to go with the beast they know than devote themselves to something new.

#3) Twitter: The final point you need to consider is the strength of Twitter. People are not going to abandon the time they have dedicated to Twitter. Many people have spent endless hours tweeting and promoting their thoughts, ideas, products and personalities. This medium was crucial in the removal of tyrannical governments. It is a powerful and useful tool and with Google+ offering more of the same there is no crucial reason to make the shift.

So for those of you out there trying to understand what all the Google+ chat is about be aware. It isn't as much about the latest and greatest product. It is about the hype, and when that hype fades the one that will be left standing will undoubtedly be Twitter.
